There were approximately 58.2 billion euros of gross non-performing exposures (NPEs) on the balance sheets of the top six Italian banking groups (now considering UBI Banca integrated into Intesa Sanpaolo) at the end of September 2021, up slightly from the 57.4 billions at the end of June (see here a previous Insight View by BeBeez), when the last drop from the 65 billions at the end of December 2020 was recorded (see here a previous Insight View by BeBeez). All this, therefore, with a gross NPE ratio of 4.68% from 4.64% at the end of June.
