MENLO PARK, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Jasper Ridge Partners, a firm providing customized investment solutions for families, foundations and global institutions, announced today that Greg Ruiz will join the firm as a Partner in its private equity practice. Together with Rick Hayes, Jenny Chen and Jamie Scarbrough, he will help lead the team\u2019s deep bench of investment talent and contribute to the ongoing expansion of its co-investment and direct private equity capabilities.\n<\/p>\n

\nRuiz comes to Jasper Ridge Partners from the California Public Employees\u2019 Retirement System (CalPERS), the nation\u2019s largest pension fund, where he led the Private Equity program focused on private equity investments across a broad range of strategies and geographies. As the leading decision-maker for the largest US-based LP investor, he grew capital committed by the PE program by almost 300% during his tenure. He joined CalPERS from Altamont Capital Partners, where he was a Principal leading direct private equity investments, and previously worked at FFL Partners after beginning his career at Goldman Sachs. Ruiz holds an AB from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford University\u2019s Graduate School of Business.\n<\/p>\n
